May I ask how you are related?
Interesting, keep us posted.
you all know how much jws loooove to gossip.
so...i just finished a email conversation with one of my self-righteous, super jw relatives back home.
let me preface this conversation by saying this relative is someone i don't communicate with, at all.
May I ask how you are related?
Interesting, keep us posted.

crowd looking like they're doing the heil hitler salute to trump when he asks for a pledge and swear their support while calling for broadening torture laws.
trump asks backers to swear their support, vows to broaden torture laws.

there was/is a sister in my old hall who was a pharmaceutical sales rep and she was a huge proponent of anything in the drug industry.
when someone had a headache, she was the first to say "take an asprin.
" now my husband and i are what you might call old hippies.
Hurry! Balance is necessary! Thank you startrekangel for highlighting that!
And to all of the negative commenters, I started this thread to discuss what ex JWs do for health now that they are free to practice what they will, not to barrage one another with cut throat reactions. I'm not selling anything here sweetheart.

I appreciate the most helpful suggestion to celebrate with a fine champagne. My hubby has a fine Veuve clicquot hidden in the wine cellar. I'm wondering if he bought that for Thursday!

I'm open to discussion and never closed minded. I'll take medication if I need them but that is a last resort. They have their place but not the way the industry pushes it like candy. Do you know the history of how lead got into gasoline?
Organic foods sometimes yes can be a scam. But again, if you make such a broad statement that all organic food is a scam then I can't help you either. Do you know anything about Glyphosate? Never mind. Enjoy your bliss.

We live frugally, we live in a very eco-friendly home with optimal thermal efficiency (husband designed it) heat pumps, well water, solar. Our monthly energy bills are less that what most people pay for their cell phones, $60 on average. We believe in holistic treatments and for our age, have done very well. Neither of us have any health issues and when my husband went for his life insurance physical exam, the doctor was amazed he was in such good health and said he was one of the top 10 he has seen in his life. Ditto for me. We eat organic foods when we can, grow our own vegetables and stay away from chemical laced products. The sister I mentioned in the outset is constantly sick and taking all sorts of medications at the age of 41.
What do you think? Is it worth the extra money for organic food? Avoiding GMO and pesticide laden foods? Eating home instead of out?
if you look at the facts and history of both of these religions , you do see a similarity , not only in belief , but also the timing of their origins.
end times ., paradise earth ( similar to the christadephians , baptists ,and other end times religions ) etc.. the jehovah`s witnesses s put a lot of weight on everybody doing door to door work in the ministry .and counting the time spent doing so.. the seventh day adventists do a fraction of the time doing door to door ministry by everybody in their religion , if they even require every body to go d2d and count their time.
i do not know.. what i do know is that the s.d.a.`s have more than twice the number of active believers than the j.w.`s do , over a similar time of history .. so does that not indicate conclusively that the god of the bible is blessing the s.d.a.`s over the j.w.`s ?
if you were hooked up to a polygraph machine when you were still an asleep, kool-aid drinking dub and asked if you agree 100% with every single wt teaching (asked as individual questions and collectively), would you have "passed" with no signs of deception?.
i know, i definitely would not have "passed" such an interegation.
i would have tripped up on questions about blood, dfing and non jws being marked for destruction just to name a few.
